Students in grade 3 have been identified for STRETCH services through testing and teacher recommendation , parents have been notified and STRETCH services for Grades 3 and 4 have begun.
Ever had to solve a 16 part problem using only 3 clues? STRETCH ELA 3rd graders are using critical thinking skills and learning new problem solving strategies to do just that.
Students in 4th grade ELA are using their deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills to solve more complex logic problems and more challenging mysteries. By organizing data, analyzing information and evidence and taking notes, they extend their ability to interpret information and draw logical conclusions.
Students in Grade 3 MATH are building upon what they know to solve problems that require more creative and critical thinking.
Grade 4 MATH continues to build on last year’s experience to use logical thinking processes to solve real world math problems.
Additionally, I work with 3rd and 4th grade teachers on in-class opportunities to extend and enrich reading and social studies.
